The very talented duo behind Oh Deer Vintage are so very close (and by very close we mean tomorrow eeep!) to launching their fabulous new online boutique. Not only will it launch full of an amazing and enormous vintage collection, but we were fortunate enough to take part in their brand new designer section. Oh Deer Vintage will stock some new and very exclusive pieces from Sanoii + Six as well as their own selection of only the best and highest quality vintage. It's pretty exciting!

It seems of late I keep stumbling across lots of brilliant New Zealand designers. . . and I am loving it. Although it is a tad sad when most of them I seem to find on overseas blogs. A good thing definately for the designers, however, as part of a design duo myself I find it sad that down here (ie Southern Hemisphere) we seem to only take notice of really good, fun designers when everybody else (ie the rest of the world!) has jumped on the bandwagon. Hopefully we can show some initiative and start to take notice of not only brilliant designers around the world, but also in our own back yard and more importantly to our neighbours to the left of us who have spawned the likes of Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, Ruby, Madamhawke, Stolen Girlfriends Club and well the list is endless!

Anywho, here is a lovely little designer by the name of Juliette Hogan. She is a delightful New Zealand lass who creates pretty pieces. Her winter colour palette warms you right up and is just beautiful. Have a little looksie for yourself.

Don't forget also, our sweet little Boutique was updated today with our lovely new range. It's full of florals, Peter Pan collars and fun! We have already sold out of some sizes, so don't delay my pretties. Also if you are an avid shopper of Sanoii+Six you may notice we have dropped our Australian shipping prices! Hooray! When we first opened our lovely little Boutique we were novices and over estimated our postage costs. We have since learned the error of our ways.  As the old proverb says 

'Experience is a comb which nature gives us when we are bald.'

Don't fret, we're on our way!

So of late we have been lagging. Not for a lack of motivation though my dears, behind the scenes we have been run off our feet trying to get all our tidbits organised to put the new range 'Chalk + Cheese' up in store. We had anticipated to have everything up and available last week, however due to unforeseen circumstances and hopefully a very positive outcome (which we will let you kids in on, in the coming weeks) to said circumstances, we were unable. So this week pretties, this week is the ticket! However, we just wanted to apologise if you've been aimlessly trawling for our lovely new wares and we do promise to update both our blog and our mailing list as soon as everything is up and ready and looking perfect!

The Finders Keepers Brisbane was a hoot!

After 2 very, very intense weeks of madness, 18 hour sewing days, rampant dashes to spotlight, copious amounts of sugar and sewing thread E V E R Y W H E R E, we finally hopped on the road up the coast for what we had planned to be a very cruisey market weekend. With the car packed to the brim we arrived safe on the Gold Coast, to warm beds and cups of tea. After a much needed nights rest we were up at dawn on Friday to put the finishing touches on our range. After another long day of hem sewing, hand sewing, printing and putting Six's family to work we went to bed nervous and anxious as to what the weekend would bring.  Saturday bought with it our mad tetris method to pack the car and not crush the clothes whilst doing so, finding the Old Museum and finding something presentable to wear. Our weeks of frantic sewing had been productive, however, finding time to sew ourselves some sweet threads from the new range had eluded us. So early Saturday morning was designated to teaming sample pieces with vintage items we just happened to have with us. The next two days were mental. Yes thats right mental! Forgotten hangers, thousands upon thousands of people, lovely stall neighbours, yummy lunches, sneaky purchases and loads of fun! We were so fortunate to meet so many lovely and friendly people and we are incredibly flattered by the response we received. Many of you missed out on some of our sold out pieces, which we hope to remake and have up in the store very soon.

Thank you to everyone who came out and said hello, we hope to be up in Brisbane in the near future.
