Being environmentally conscious is incredibly important to us. Whilst we pride ourselves on the fact that all our production is completed in house, from concept to completion our products never leave our sight until they are purchased or taken to market. We are still acutely aware that the fabrics and notions we buy to use in our designs may not have been made in the most sustainable of ways. This can be disheartening to say the least. We try our best to only buy the minimum amount of fabric needed for our ranges, so we have only the tiniest amount of wastage and we try and keep our production runs quite low, not only to make things more unique but also to lower our machineries impact. Confused? Why all of sudden am I rambling on about the environment? Whilst we like to keep our blog light hearted (lets face it there is enough sadness and misery out there without us adding to it) and fun there are some issues that just cannot escape us. I came across this video yesterday over at Sustahood, an Australian website dedicated to providing the very "best of sustainability news" as well as providing inspiring sustainability innovation from all of the world, but more importantly from our own backyard! The video is a no fuss explanation of, to say it plainly, STUFF. And whilst it is a whole 21 minutes, I strongly recommend you take some time to pry yourself away from whatever social network you are procrastinating over and procrastinate over this little doosey. It is well worth it. Please disregard the cheesy intro music...
