7 days, 7 weird and wonderful pictures: Part Sieben

Here I am thinking "Oh yeh check me out I'm totes on a roll with this whole blog series thing (please note - the word totes is totally only used for emphasis on how cool I thought I was)." And I had patiently waited until Monday night, (more like procrastinated, but whatevs) to do our little recap of the week using fun and often inappropriate images we've stumbled across in said week. My cavalier attitude was wiped cleanly off my smug little face when I noticed I was actually two weeks behind. Well not exactly two weeks, more like 12 days, which is even more annoying - I didn't even have the blogging day right. So you guys are probably like what's the big dealo? Well I will tell you what the dealo is kids? We are trying our hardest to be constant and thorough bloggers and IT. IS. TOUGH. While some of our blog posts aren't too bad (ok so most of our blog posts are boss/rad/whatever meterage you are using for being hip these days) we are the first to admit that some posts are lacking a certain je ne sais quoi? But really that only highlights how normal and imperfect we are and whilst our faces are not splashed across our brand, our blog is a little insight into the real us. A little piece of the S+S pie, sometimes a boring and often nonsensical piece, but a piece of a much larger pie that is always learning and growing into a better pie. Did I lose you? I think I lost myself.

So um, here is our 12 in 12. Enjoy!

Animals say the darndest things!

Six's two year old daughter reminds us everyday.

Happy Record Store Day! Did you go out and support your local independent record stores?
Jot the April 16, down for next year and damn the man!
Also how great is Empire Records? Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.

So silly. But brilliant. Perfect for a Sunday!

It really is true. Cos' no one can love anyone AS MUCH AS zombies love brains. Right?

This is dedicated to all those lovely ladies out there who really have no idea. And we mean that in the nicest possible way. Don't hide the bad bits, flaunt the good bits. Not only will you forget you have bad bits, but no one will even notice you have bad bits! A'iiiiight?

Letting it all hang out on a Wednesday.

Happy International Kiss a Redhead Day!
I hope someone kissed Shaun White... and Chuck Norris.

AMAZEBALLS.
Happy Good Friday.

Earth Day! WOOOH!
We aren't really that cynical. But there are ALOT of people out there who really don't give a hoot about the environment. Rather than 'trying' to change minds by preaching to those naysayers, let's lead by example. We've only got one Earth.

Happy Easter!
Hope the fluffy man was good to you!

Perfect Monday reading.
I really wish I had a copy of this delightful devotional so I could quote, what I am sure are nuggets of pure gold. You will have to satisfy with the boss cover.

Hello lovelies. Another very busy and enjoyable week. Here's what we were feeling!

Kids are so funny. Just what you need on a rainy Monday!

Just giggle. You know you want too.

Oh Wednesday you so funny.

We love this image. Partying never looked to festive! Hooray for Thursday!
Fridays make us loopy!

Sundays are for dreaming.

7 days, 7 weird and wonderful pictures: Part five.

The weeks are flying by and it is just not good. This week saw the launch of Oh Deer Vintage's new online boutique. If you have not yet seen it, you should most definitely go and have a little peruse. They have the most amazing range of vintage pieces (girls and guys!) as well as some very lovely pieces of ours! Some of which are exclusive to Oh Deer Vintage and by exclusive we mean ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH OH DEER VINTAGE! It is just madness!

Our images this week took an unconscious turn when we realised on Wednesday that they were all black and white. Odd. We decided to just go with it and searched to find some of our favourite monochrome images. Here is our week in black and white. Enjoy!

Monday's are often like this. Things happen and sometimes you really don't understand why.

Classic.

So hilariously good. Perfect for hump day.

Easily confused? One is a large ground squirrel, the other a yeast spread. Don't mix the two.

Fridays. Dancing, climbing on friends and floating boats.

Saturdays in autumn are perfect for these kinds of activities. Saturday was also the last day of daylight savings. So long 8pm sunsets.

Sunday was spent browsing markets, hearty breakfasts and a ton of sunshine.
Perfect!

7 days, 7 weird and wonderful pictures: Part quattro.

Good Evening lovelies,

How has the week treated you?

We are well into Autumn now with the weather still unsure if we should break out the cardi's or revel in skimpy sundresses a little longer. But I am not ashamed to say that I am L O V I N G this cooler weather! As we spend a large portion of our days hunched over sewing machines or on our knees cutting fabric (yes we do need a cutting table!) style and fashion don't really mix with manual labour and well, sweat.  But these cooler days are a much needed sigh of relief and finally we can put in some styling effort in our work wardrobes! Anywho, this week was alot more eventful than we may have led you to believe (especially after reading me babble about the weather for a rather unnecessary amount of time.) WE TURNED FOUR! Can you believe it?!? And whilst I am still putting together a little blog about this amazing feat I thought it was only imperative that I state that very exciting fact. Of course the usual has been happening this week toiling, grading and fabric sourcing so our celebration consisted of some rather unhealthy but very satisfying lunches and a butt load of Easter eggs!

Here's our 7 in 7:

Nothing says Hello Monday morning than a giraffes face staring at you from an eighth storey window.
I wish this was how all my Mondays started.

Tuesday was a day of cake! Happy 4th anniversary/birthday/year - whatever!

And don't you forget.

Don't turn your back Thursday.

Worst song ever? Quite possibly. But Six does get it stuck in my head.
If you have not heard of Rebecca Black DO NOT YOUTUBE HER.

Saturday. Earth Hour came and went by so quickly. With all the hooplah that was our state election I think Earth Hour was overshadowed. Never fear, Earth Hour shouldn't be kept to a single hour twice a year, it should be all day, every day. We are not saying walk around in the dark, although if that's your thing we're not judging, but it's really not that hard to consider your toll on the earth with even the smallest of actions.

I love this. The perfect image for a Sunday.

Hope your week was lovely.

7 days, 7 weird and wonderful pictures: Part trois.

The weeks are flying by too fast. I swear I blinked last Monday and all of a sudden here I am Sunday evening. I wish this whole time and momentum thing would just give us a break already. So again I am late with this post. So shoot me! It's been a busy and productive week, lot's of patternmaking and toiling going on and all that jazz. So here it is kiddies, our week in pictures... plus a day or two :)

Friday morning that is usually how our sentences start.

Hello dazed Saturday!

So dreamy. A perfect Sunday would be had by all, if I only I knew where this was?

Pterodactyls are way cooler than butterflies. Just look how you spell pterodactyl!?!
Good morning Monday.

Yes hump day is for giggling.

End of the week and we're feeling fine. Oh productivity how I love thee.

Fridays are  super  way fun.

♥ Saturday

This rain is heavy. The sea seems like the best option.
Good night Sunday.

March 11, 2011

7 days, 7 weird and wonderful pictures: Part 2.

Oh dear, did we have some fun this week. It started off with sickness. Nothing too scary, just your average bout of in between season flu. Which is more of a nuisance than anything. It was such a busy week and it flew by without us having time to catch our breath or blow our nose! It is the middle of March already can you believe it? So we have been tucked away in our little workshop preparing for winter and boy have we got some new and glorious fabrics coming out of our ears! We are also at that stage in the construction process, that although we love it, we actually do loath it! Ok loath is a strong word, but when you are trying to pattern make or toile some beautifully detailed creations it can become tedious. However, whinging aside the end result is absolutely brilliant and we couldn't ask for anything more. Whilst preparing for winter (Six is predicting snow on the Central Coast this year!) we are also juggling a new collaboration which we will be announcing very soon which is just too exciting and we cannot wait for it to unfold. Now don't fret lovelies, while there is talk of winter it is still a couple of months away and you can most definitely still pick up lots of pretty summer styles via our online boutique.

Ok so there are actually 8 images this week as I am a couple of days behind with this little blog. Alas, better late than never. We had the fits of the giggles this week and could not resist posting some images that we thought were so funny. I don't know if anyone else did? But it definitely amused us for a few hours!

Thursday struck us with a bout of flu. We recovered with lots of tea and a juice detox!

Books and boys. What else is there? Good morning Friday.

Saturday was too cute for words.

Everybody loves a red head and everybody loves Ron Weasley. Sunday, you would be lying if you didn't.

Weird is good. Don't ever change. Monday is the perfect day for weird.

I am a sucker for text on photos. It just makes everything so much funnier and we honestly could not control ourselves with this one. Oh Tuesday you so funny!

Again, I could not be happier with this pick for Thursday!

Gossip Girl really isn't cutting it anymore. OC marathon anyone?

If you would like to join us in the giggle fest that is S+S HQ come follow us on Facebook or Twitter. We promise we won't bite and you will laugh your socks off.  If you don't we apologise for assuming you would.
