Hitting shelves this fine Wednesday morning is issue #37 of Frankie magazine. Hooray! The lovely kids at Frankie were kind enough to request some tidbits from the upcoming Drop 2 range of 'Chalk + Cheese'. If you scour page 24 your little peepers will gently catch our delightful little write up. Double hooray! A big thank you to everyone at Frankie and an extra big thank you to the lovely Holly! We are so excited, Frankie is one of the biggest selling and most popular magazines in Australia and as I discovered on my European escapades earlier this year extremely popular with our northern hemisphere counterparts! Triple hooray!

Trawling.

The internet is a wonderous place.

Whilst parted by many a continent I am not getting my monthly indulgance of Six's and my subscriptions.

Now, I am not the biggest fan of Australian Vogue, the covers are usually lacklustre, you have to dig deep through the trillions of ads before you reach anything that resembles substance and well it is a tad boring... at times. However, whilst doing my daily trawl of blogs I stumbled across the cover for March 2010. Starring the soon-to-be-overexposed but ever-so-stunning and pretty-sure-I-want-her-hair Abbey Lee Kershaw.

It really is a beautiful cover. Simple. And very summer. I love it. Almost makes me want to pay the overseas price for it.... or I'll just wait till I get home and steal Six's.

Getting all inspired and stuff....

NOW that the festive buzz is starting to wane we here at sanoii+six HQ are trying to re-attach our thinking caps and pull on our creative pants and get all inspired and what not so we can dive head first into what we anticipate to be a very busy year.

Getting inspired is easy, getting motivated is another thing. We have all these fantastic, wonderful ideas jostling around in our think tanks, but putting the pencil to paper when its 30 degrees outside isn't the easiest of tasks. So as we try and get our act together to start our new ranges we continue to browse the web, magazines, books and pretty much anything shiny that catches our eye. Here's a few things rocking our boat right now....

The one and only Frida Kahlo. Always colourful and always sporting her trademark mono brow.

The Smiths. Classic. Perfect summer tunes.

Realising there are other crazy people, like us, out there.

....and weird and wonderful images in general.

ON a side note, not rocking our boat, but keeping us firmly on dry land, is the last 6 months worth of RUSSH magazine. Avid readers and followers since the beginning, we have in the past waited at our mail boxes in anticiaption and hounded the newsagents clerks for the lastest issues and previously have been more than impressed with what is gracing the pages. However, as of late we have been severely disappointed. 

Is there a new editor? An entire new staff? An enormous pink elephant in the office? 

What has happened? Maybe our expectations of what we once believed to be one of the best fashion magazines to come out of Australia, were too high? Or maybe there successful run has come to a devastating end? Either way we'll stand by and hope that something changes and for now we will be happily satisfied with UK mag Lula. which has fast become our new favourite fashion magazine!
